Veterans News:

Pennsylvania military veterans can now have their service noted on their PA driver’s license. This serves as military status identification if you don’t have another military ID. It identifies you as a veteran, gives police quicker access to social and legal programs for people who served in the military. There is no additional fee for this. . . . (more...)

Commander's Message:

Spring is here! I hope that all of you were able to keep safe and warm during this harsh winter. Let’s make up for all those snowy days without sunshine with enjoyable spring outside activities. We’ll all be cleaning up those yards pummeled by the snow, ice and wind. Okay, how about a visit to some tropical island! The Caribbean sounds good to me! . . . (more...)

President’s Message:

“Welcome To All Our New Members!” We are happy you chose to join our post and hope you will stay with us for a long time. Please read this newsletter from front to back, paying particular attention to the “Calendar of Events”. This is where the activities are listed and it is a vital source of information on what is happening here at Post 1463. Another excellent source of up to date information is our web site.Check it often as updates happen weekly.

I want to personally thank a few people for all they do here to make this club a great place to come and get involved in things that go on. To Mike Horn, our webmaster/Trivia King and to all of his followers; to the Activity Committee members who run our Bingo every Thursday and volunteer their time; to Scoot & Dave Wilt who run the Pool Tournaments on Saturdays; to Mike West and our fabulous dart team who represent this club and have made it to the playoffs; to all of the employees that make this club run so smooth, and last but not least to all of our supporting members that come in, enjoy the club, the kitchen and socializing.

Now is a good time for us to say we run a no-nonsense club. We want all of you to enjoy yourselves but at no time will improper conduct be tolerated. How will you know if you are out of line? Very simple, don’t do anything to make the bar server tell you to calm down. Our servers are lenient but fair and they have the full authority and support of the Board of Governors.

May God Bless America!
Ron Lantz
Canteen President

PLEASE tell me that winter is over! I have never been so ready for spring in my life.

Cost is $5.00 per person with a donation of a little food. Hopefully these will continue throughout the year. We will have them posted in advance . . . (more...)

Adjutant’s Message:

As the Adjutant of Post 1463, my goal is to assemble an email notification list for active members. Email would be used to send out the monthly meeting agenda and minutes. It would also be used to notify members of short-term information such as special events, deaths, or critical Post information.

At some point the newsletter may be sent out by email, to those that prefer that delivery method, saving the Post several dollars in postage. Please send me your email address to: 1sgtfrey@gmail.com

Thanks in advance,
Tim Frey
