Kitchen open with Mixed Nutz, Sat April 11th

The band, Mixed Nuts Will be performing at VFW post 1463 8pm-12am and the kitchen will be open 5pm-8pm. Come out and eat with us then hang out for some fun music.


VFW Post 1463 open noon-1AM daily

The Lititz VFW post 1463 is now open noon-1AM daily. There will be open pool and juke box from 6pm-close this Friday March 27th and next Friday April 3rd.  Come out, have fun and show your support.

Lititz Walk for Wounded Warriors 2015

Lititz civic organizations, sponsors, the Lititz recCenter and the Ladies Auxiliary to Lititz Springs Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1463 are happy to present the THIRD annual Lititz Walk for PA Wounded Warriors. The Walk is held to raise awareness and funds for PA Wounded Warriors, Inc. (PAWW) whose mission is to “Help restore wounded warriors to good physical, mental and emotional health.” (more)

Veterans POW-MIA Day Candlelight Service Friday, Sept. 19

Come join VFW Post 1463 and the Ladies Auxiliary as we pay tribute to all of our service men and women from all of our country's wars and conflicts who are still unaccounted for, as either POWs (Prisoners of War) or MIAs (Missing in Action).

Our candlelight service will be held in the gazebo in Lititz Springs Park on National POW-MIA Day, Friday, September 19 at 7 P.M. . . .(more)

Veterans Service Office at the Post

Pennsylvania Veterans of Foreign Wars Veterans Service Office will be at the post on Mondays from 1 to 6 p.m., starting September 8th, connecting veterans from all service eras and their loved ones with their eligible benefits and services.

For appointments call (717) 234-7927 and mention the Lititz VFW location. This outreach service is made possible through funding from The State of Pennsylvania’s Act 66 Grant Program.


Young American Creative Patriotic Art Contest National Winner

The first place winner of the Young American Creative Patriotic Art Contest, Alessandra Levato, sponsored by Ladies Auxiliary to Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1463, Lititz, PA, stands at the podium at the National Convention in St. Louis on July 22, 2014. “Ali” addressed the crowd of more than 1,000 auxiliary members and guests. She read the short essay that accompanied her winning entry and expressed thanks to everyone at Post 1463 who helped her achieve the prize of a $10,000 scholarship and gifts from the national auxiliary and National Madam President “Sissy” Borel. . . . . .(more).

2nd Successful Year for the Lititz Walk for PA Wounded Warriors

The Lititz Walk for PA Wounded Warriors was a major success with $9000 in sponsorship, registration and donations received.... and donations are still coming in.

Thanks to the community organization volunteers who helped put The Walk together, starting at the November 2013 meeting. The Lititz recCenter was the hub of all planning meetings, registration and follow-through of The Walk, so special thanks to . . . .(more).

Voice of Democracy Winners

Lititz Springs Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1463 hosted a breakfast for the Dept. of PA Voice of Democracy district winners on January 18. This is the second consecutive year Post 1463 has been selected to entertain the students during their awards weekend . . .(more)

Welcome Home for Local Soldier

A local mom reached out to Lititz Springs VFW Post 1463 to help welcome home her son who was returning to Lititz for a well-deserved leave after deployment in Afghanistan. The VFW and Ladies Auxiliary organized a welcome for Blake Cameron Bomberger at Post 1463 on Friday August 9th. Ladies Auxiliary Earns State and National Awards

The Ladies Auxiliary to Lititz Springs VFW Post 1463 earned numerous commendations for attaining or surpassing auxiliary program goals in 2012-2013. At the state convention in Lancaster in June, the Ladies Auxiliary received citations of merit for Veterans and Family Support, Americanism, Hospitals, Cancer Aid & Research, Scholarships, Community Service Reporting, Youth Activities and contributions to the VFW National Home for Children. Department of PA President Sandy Brenner recognized Post 1463’s work on the Walk for PA Wounded Warriors. . . . (more)

Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post #1463 and Ladies Auxiliary of Lititz, Pennsylvania, was the recipient of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Outstanding Community Service Post Award at the VFW’s National Convention in Louisville, Kentucky on July 22 during an invitation only reception. Flag Drop Box

When an American flag is no longer fit for display it must not be thrown away. Instead there is a special flag disposal ceremony where the flag is burned in accordance with flag disposal protocol.

From 1899-2014 No One Has Done More For Veterans

On the evening of September 29, 1899, thirteen men — veterans who had fought on Cuba during the Spanish-American War — gathered at a tailor shop in Columbus, Ohio. They shared their accounts of what was then, the most popular war in America’s history, but further, to discuss how they could assist their fellow veterans and the dependents of their fallen comrades. I would like to thank Susan Ellis for a wonderful four years of service as our past president. She took our auxiliary to a whole new level. I am proud to follow in her footsteps. She has been and will continue to be my friend and mentor.
