Young American Creative Patriotic Art Contest

The Ladies Auxiliary to Lititz Springs VFW Post 1463 is proud to support Alessandra Levato in the 2012 Young American Creative Patriotic Art Contest sponsored by the national Ladies Auxiliary organization. Ali’s work was submitted to the Department of PA Youth Chairman per the rules of the contest. Department winners advance to the national level where each entry will be judged on the originality of concept, presentation, and patriotism expressed; the content of how it relates to patriotism and clarity of ideas; the design technique; total impact of work; and uniqueness.

Along with her artwork, Ali submitted a short explanation of patriotism expressed in her art. Her painting “represents both the living soldiers of the present, and the fallen soldiers of the past………….The painting also represents the sacrifices that so many have made in order for us to be free……….I incorporated the words of the Declaration of Independence into my painting to represent the very first time The United States of America came together to fight for our freedoms….”.

This is a national scholarship contest with the following prize list:

$10,000 First Place
$5,000 Second Place
$2,500 Third Place
$1,500 Fourth Place
$500 Fifth – Eighth Place

Thanks to Ali for representing the Ladies Auxiliary to VFW Post 1463 with her entry. We wish her well in the state and national contests.
